Ken is a 1978 graduate of Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He passed the CPA exam in 1979 while working in public accounting at a local Alton area firm. In 1980 at the age of 24, he co-founded the firm of Scheffel & Loy, P.C. Mr. Warren Scheffel later retired in 1998 and the firm changed its name to Kenneth E. Loy & Company, PC. In July 2015 Ken announced that Certified Public Accountants Tricia Miller and Michelle Talley, have joined the firm as partners and the firm has officially changed its name to Loy Miller Talley, PC. Ken has extensive experience in all phases of Governmental Auditing and income taxation.
